Obituary of Lena M. Simpson

The death of Lena Mae (Middleton) Simpson of Saint John, wife of the late Franklin Simpson, occurred on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Weymouth, NS on December 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Patterson) Middleton. She is survived by one son, Sherman Palmer of Saint John, four daughters, Carol Dantzler of Cincinnati, OH, Sonya Noye, Gail Robinson and Lisa Simpson, all of Saint John, two sisters, Shirley Stevens and Bernice Langford (Glidden) both of Saint John, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Gertrude Middleton and two sisters and one brother. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to St. John Baptist (Mission Church) & St. Clement or the charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated.
