Obituary of Mildred Barbour Everett

Mildred Barbour Everett died in Saint John on Friday, September 8, 2006. Born July 21, 1916, in Albert County, to Lena and Charles Barbour, she graduated from the New Brunswick Normal School in Fredericton. With her husband, the Rev. Thomas D.F. Everett, who died in 1992, she shared a wonderful ministry of over 50 years, serving United Church of Canada congregations in New Brunswick, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Ontario. She was predeceased by her brother, Harry, in 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Wilcox of Saint John, and Hilary Apfelstadt of Columbus, Ohio, as well as by five grandchildren and several cousins. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church. There will be no service, at her request. Her ashes will be interred in Toronto. Local arrangements are being coordinated by Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Donations may be made to the Canadian Bible Society.
