Obituary of Frederick Albert GILLILAND

The death of Frederick Albert Gilliland, husband of Norma (London) Gilliland of Saint John, NB, occurred on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 5, 1926 in Saint John, a son of the late Eugene and Flossie (Mann) Gilliland, Fred had been employed with the International Longshoreman Association Local # 273 for over 26 years. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Norma; one sister, Connie (Kenneth) Barrett of Saint John; a number of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, a brother, Eugene and a sister, Shirley Dennison. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
