Obituary of Muriel A. Lawton

The death of Muriel A. Lawton, wife of the late Edward Christopher Lawton, occurred on August 26, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Bertrum O. and Emma Jane (Davidson) Lackie. She was employed with the Dietary Department of the Saint John General Hospital and retired from the Housekeeping Department of St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Saint John, had been a member of the Church of the Ascension, Red Head, was a current member of Stone Church and belonged to the Good Fellowship Seniors Club, Old Black River Road. Surviving are sons James Edward (Roxie), Frederick Roy (Rhonda) and Edward Timothy (Darlene), all of Saint John, daughters Jean Bernice Corbiere of St. Catherine’s, Carole Marlene Mason of St. Catherine’s, Darlene Rose (Thomas Love) of Kingston, NB, Patricia Elizabeth (Ervine Worrall) of Saint John, Valarie June (Robert Connell) of Saint John, sisters Marion Marr and Audrey Cyr of Saint John, her 31 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her son Rodney Lloyd and daughter Marjorie Louise Boucher of Saint John, predeceased her. Resting at Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 7-9 pm and Monday from2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 2:00 pm, from St. James Anglican Church, Lakewood. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
