Obituary of M. Catherine Ayer

The death of Mary Catherine Ayer of 105 Birchwood Place, Saint John West, wife of the late Donald Ayer, occurred on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (Cusack) Arseneau. Catherine was formerly employed in the Admitting Office at the Saint John General and Saint John Regional Hospital's and was a member of the Cathedral Parish. She is survived by three sons, Frank Arseneau (Sandra) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Brian Arseneau of Cape Breton, NS and Ronald Arseneau of Maces Bay, one daughter, Valerie Edgett of Saint John, grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Abby and Sarah Arseneau and Meredithe Edgett, great grandchildren, Hannah Getson, Leagh Gillis, other great grandchildren and her faithful dog, Jessie. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and George and two sisters, Joan and Valerie. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday, June 9, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
