Obituary of Muriel Mae White

The death of Muriel Mae "Nunie" (Dykeman) White of Kennebecasis Park, Rothesay, NB, occurred at her home on April 23, 2006 in her 101st year. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late Orland S. Dykeman and Iva M. (Orchard) Dykeman. She was the beloved wife of the late, Robert Edwin White, who passed away in 1991. Muriel attended the Provincial Normal School in the 1920's and taught for more than thirty years at Dufferin School in Saint John. Muriel enjoyed traveling abroad and many yearly trips to Florida. Survived by her three nieces: Patricia, Cheryl and Karen, four nephews: James Anthony, Jerry Anthony, Derek and Robert, and nine great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Hazen, Evelyn (Anthony) and Lloyd. A private family Memorial Service will be held at the Fernhill Cemetery Chapel on Monday, May 8, 2006 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
