Obituary of Judith Anne Blair

It is with profound sadness, the family of Judith Anne Blair announces the death of their beloved mother, companion and friend. She is survived by her only daughter, Jennifer Lynn 'David' McDermott, son-in-law Kevin McDermott, former husband Gerard E. David, several cousins and many dear, dear friends. Judith was predeceased by her parents Kathleen and George Blair and only beloved sister Janet Louise Mason, all of Saint John. Judith had a long list of accomplishments throughout her life. She was an extremely funny, articulate writer, a talented artist, an excellent scholar, graduating with an English Honors Degree from UNBSJ as a mature student with "Distinction," and a very successful business woman and entrepreneur which includes Blair's Sundries Ltd., of Loch Lomond Mall, in operation for the past 12 years. Her unwavering strength of character was a gift to her family and friends, and especially her daughter. May we all find it within ourselves as we cope with the devastating loss of her life. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, April 13, 2006, at 12 Noon, from Brenan's Chapel, followed by cremation. Remembrances made to Extra Mural of Saint John or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
