Obituary of Donald Raymond Ring

RING, DONALD RAYMOND SR.- The death of Donald Raymond Ring Sr., of Saint John, husband of Irene S. (Hamilton) Ring, occurred on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late George and Mabel (McMurray) Ring. Donald was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Canadian Army and was employed with Saint John Winterport and the City of Saint John, before his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by children, Donald R. Ring Jr. (June) of Montreal and Deborah Waters (Bob) of Saint John, daughter-in-law, Tanya of Montreal, brothers, Greg Ring of Fredericton and Lloyd Ring of Saint John, sister, Shirley Whitlock of Fredericton, grandchildren, Dawn Vildosola (Leo) of Montreal, Rob Waters (Trish) of Oromocto, Jeff Waters (Krista) of Fredericton and Shane Ring (Gen) of Montreal, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
