Obituary of Lee Andrew Fairweather

The death of Lee Andrew Fairweather of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Lorraine (Stanley) Fairweather, occurred on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB a son of the late Paxton and Ada (Cooke) Fairweather. Lee was a veteran of World War II, having served in England, France, Belgium and Holland and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Fredericton Branch # 4. He was an avid bowler for many years and he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the "wood lot". Survived by two sons: Lyndon (Sheila) of Fredericton and Wayman of Collingwood, ON; a daughter, Eva Norman of Vernon, BC; three brothers: Glen of Saint John West, Ken of Florida and Ralph (Muriel) of California; three sisters: Elsie (Richard "Buzz") Wayne, Ruth Shaw and Doreen Ducey, all of Saint John; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, his wife and a brother, Raymond. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, a Tribute to a Veteran Service will be held at 2 pm. On Friday visiting will be at Brenan's from 2-4 and 7-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 8 pm. Interment will be in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the NB Lung Association, Ridgewood Veterans Wing Comfort Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
