Obituary of Robert J. Breen

The death of Robert J. “Bob” Breen of 37 Ridge Street, Saint John, husband of Susan A. (Wallis) Breen, occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at his residence. Born in Saint John on December 31, 1941, he was the son of the late Walter Vincent and Mary Agnes (King) Breen. Bob worked 33 years in Shipping and Receiving at the old Saint John General Hospital and the Veteran's Wing at Ridgewood Hospital, South Bay. He attended local schools and was a life long resident of Saint John. Next to his wife, Susan, his second love in life was music. Bob was a member of Main Brace Naval Veteran's Association in Saint John. Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother-in-law, Adelia Wallis, sister-in-law, Sandra Martin of Chilliwack, BC, three brothers, Douglas E. (Anne Marie) of Cambridge Narrows, Rev. Donald F. of Quispamsis and David W. of Burnaby, BC, two sisters, Joan Myers (Raymond) of Cambridge Narrows and Carol Anne Robblee (Phillip) of New Maryland, several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel R. and Michael V. Breen. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
