Obituary of Lillian MacDonald

The death of Lillian MacDonald, age 92, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Earl Kierstead and the late Willard MacDonald, occurred on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John a daughter of the late Francis and Jennie (Durley) Ferrar. Lillian was involved with Seagulls Senior Citizens and enjoyed bingo, cards and gardening. Survived by a son, Earl (Carol) Kierstead of Saint John; a daughter, Lorraine “Sally” (Malcolm) Reicker of Sussex, NB; two brothers, Sidney Ferrar of Saint John and John (Matilda “Tilly”) Ferrar of Sydney, NS; eight grandchildren, Tracy Wills, Heather Muir, Wendy Stockford, Shawn Reicker, Sandy Kierstead, Sonya Brennan, Kelly Hebert and Bill Brennan; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by an infant daughter, Heather; a brother, Frank Ferrar; a sister, Connie Hubley. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at 2 pm. with interment following in Belyeas Cove Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
