Obituary of McLaren Dow Fitzgerald

The death of Larry Fitzgerald (1934-2006), occurred on February 10, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Eugene H. and Gertrude (Tower) Fitzgerald. Larry was predeceased by his first wife Anna and one brother, Terrance. He is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Sylvie) and Derek (Sherry), his wife Mary (Lush), brothers; Eugene (Agnes), Gordon (Donna), Victor (Kaye) and Clark (Katherine), sisters; June Lavin, Heather Fitzgerald-MacLeod and Faith Kingston, his grandchildren; Jude and Sydney, Evan and Ella and several nieces and nephews. Larry was a member of the RCAF, for 25 years, and retired from J. D. Irving in 1988. Dad was a loving husband and father, and a true friend. He had a good heart. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2006, at 11 am from St. Joachim's Church. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
