Obituary of Lillian G. Stein

The death of Lillian G. Stein of Wildwood Street, Saint John, wife of the late George Frederick Stein, occurred on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on July 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Jennie (Wilkinson) Albert. Lillian was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary #64 Portland Branch, Royal Canadian Legion and was a member of the Outreach Program of the Loch Lomond Villa. She is survived by three sons, Percy (Marlene) of PEI, Raymond of Ottawa, ON and Douglas (Glenda) of Sheet Harbour, NS, seven daughters, Jenny Mitchell of Saint John, Betty Ring (Robert) of Saint John, Donna Breau (Roger) of Hampton, Helen Stein of Saint John, Hilda Micholuk (Robert) of Calgary, AB, Shirley Stein of Saint John and Judy LeBlanc (Paul) of North Carolina, daughter-in-law, Georgie Stein of Saint John, one sister, Joy McKenzie of Saint John, 34 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant son, Junior and son, Donald, granddaughter, Debora and four brothers, Donald, Raymond, Percy and Allan and three sisters, Gladys, Stella and Norma. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary & St. Bartholomew's Church, 646 Westmorland Road, Saint John on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. The Ladies Auxilliary of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a service on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
