Obituary of C. Leo Cutler

The death of C. Leo Cutler of Saint John, NB, husband of Helen (McGillivray) Cutler, occurred Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born November 7, 1918 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Arthur and Annie (Sullivan) Cutler. Leo was devoted to his family and his church, Holy Trinity Parish, where he was a lifelong member and served as a Gentleman Altar Server for many years. He retired from his employment with the Province of New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Dept. in 1984. Besides his wife Helen, he is survived by his sister, Vona Billings of Maine; three sons: Paul (Gail) of Hampton, NB, David (Kathy) of Moncton, NB, and Brian of Saint John; two daughters: Eleanor (Donald) Allen of Don Mills, ON, and Helen Marie (Kevin) Logan of Saint John; seven grandchildren: Greg and Steve Cutler, Andrew and Laura Cutler, Jennifer and Janice Allen and Matthew Logan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant sister, Helen M. Cutler and by his brother Arthur Cutler. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Cochrane on Thursday, February 3 at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Church, Rockland Road. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
