Obituary of Clinton Murphy

Murphy, Clinton Sterling -- The family of Clint Murphy is saddened to announce his sudden passing on Sunday, September 25, 2016. Born in Bathurst on July 23, 1951, Clint was the son of the late Lloyd and Violet (Carey) Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margaret Veronica (Durick) and only son Brent Daniel Murphy. In addition, he is also survived by his brother Lloyd (Grace); special niece Carey; his sister-in-law and brother in-law Carole (Durick) and Paul Renshaw. Clint was a private person who kept a close circle of people in his life, several from childhood onward. In his early working career he worked at CN Rail, Irving Refinery, West Side Hospital, the Sugar Refinery, spending the last 27 years at Moosehead Breweries, retiring in June 2015. He was always interested in railways, the military, as well as current events. He enjoyed trips but was always eager to be home again. He had a fondness for animals, the Habs and the Blue Jays, but nothing gave Clint more pleasure and joy than watching Brent's games of hockey, football, and rugby over the years. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 2-8 pm. A celebration of Clint’s life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society, SPCA – Animal Rescue or any charity of your choice.
