Obituary of E. Joyce Unger

The death of Joyce (Bannister) Unger, wife of the late Gunter F.F. Unger, occurred on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at her residence. Joyce will be missed by her son, Roger Unger; granddaughters, Julia Unger and Emily-Rose Unger and their mother, Laura Unger (the late Thomas); sister-in-laws, Doreen Tonge (Len), Shirley Boulanger (Pat) and Verla Hayes (the late Henry); as well as several members of her extended family. In addition to her parents, Joyce was also predeceased by her first husband, William Hayes and her second husband, Gunter Unger; her son, Thomas Unger; her siblings, Fred, Neil, Irene, Eric-Roy and Printzlyn; as well as her dearest friend, Brenda London. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Saint John Extra Mural Program or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
