Obituary of Kenneth 'Billy' William Steeves

The death of Kenneth Steeves of Saint John, husband of Carol (Getson) Steeves, occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 18, 1947 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Bernice (Conway) Steeves. Prior to his retirement, Billy was employed in the taxi industry. He enjoyed bowling, a good game of bingo and loved watching hockey. In addition to his wife, Carol, Billy is also survived by their children, Karen, Crystal (Nathan), Kathleen (Luke) all of Saint John, Cheryl (Jason) of SK and Kenny of Saint John; sisters, Barbara, Jeana (Eduardo) and Cindy all of ON; brother, Mark (Pam) of Saint John, very special grandfather to seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Billy was also predeceased by his sisters, Marilyn and Linda and his brother, Rick. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, November 24 and Wednesday, November 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
