Obituary of Allan Campbell Lingley

It is with profound sadness that the family of Allan Campbell Lingley announces his peaceful passing after a short illness on April 20, 2022, at the age of 74 years.

Allan was born in Blacks Harbour, NB, and was raised and lived in Saint John for most of his life. He retired in 2009 after a long career with the City of Saint John. He spent the last months of his life with his daughter's family in Fredericton and leaves us as the reigning champion of Triominoes.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Cynthia Boudreau (Kevin), Sandra Golding (Brian), grandchildren: Mikaela and Braedon Boudreau, Bryan, Kayla, Miranda, Riley and Sophie Golding, his great grandson Tyson and his sister, Mary Lou McKay. He will also be remembered by his many friends and extended family including his nephews: David, Bruce and Geoffrey, his predeceased wife, Doris Lingley’s children: Sandra, Cheryl, Peggy and Terry as well as their children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 20 years, Doris Lingley and his parents: Harold and Josephine (Campbell) Lingley.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital (3SW) in Fredericton for their care and compassion.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A visitation will be on Monday, April 25, 2022, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Allan’s Life will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 10 AM in the Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Patterson’s United Cemetery, Hoyt.
