Obituary of Mona Y. Smith

The death of Mrs. Mona Y. Smith of Loch Lomond Villa, widow of Frank E. Smith, occurred at her residence on Sunday, November 14, 2004. Mrs. Smith was born in St. Lucia, West Indies, and had resided in Saint John since 1962. She was predeceased by a son, Ian Dwight Smith. She is survived by one son, Christopher of Calgary; three daughters, Gail Maloney (Dr. Allan) of St. Stephen, Catherine Brown (Dr. Dale) of Toronto, and Deborah Head (Cecil) of Saint John; one brother, Gordon Gall (Rufin) of Trinidad; and six grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9. Service will be held at St. James Church, Lakewood, on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Saint John, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
