Obituary of Anna T. Tufts

The death of Anna T. Tufts of Titusville, widow of Ronald S. Tufts, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 5, 2004. Mrs. Tufts was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Gordon and Helena (Cody) Dunham, She was very proud of being a Registered Nurse, and had worked part-time at the St. John General Hospital from 1960 until becoming full-time in 1970. She worked in I.C.U. until 1974. In December 1974 she transferred to In-Service Education (Training and Development of staff). In March 1980 she transferred to Data Processing Dept. where she assisted with the implementation and training of computers. In September 1981 she transferred back to Staff Education where she remained until her retirement in March 1989. She was a member of St. Peter's Queen of Peace Prayer Group and the Saint John General Hospital Nursing School Alumnae. She is survived by one son, Gordon (Susan) of Titusville; one sister, Bertha Percheson of Edmonton; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Divine Mercy Catholic School, or the Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated.
