Obituary of Willard J. Causey

<p>The death of Willard "Woody" J. Causey of Saint John, husband of the late Frances (Hopey) Causey occurred on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Ridgewood Veteran&rsquo;s Wing. Born on November 15, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Lillian (Charlton) Causey.</p> <p>Woody was a veteran and served with World War 2. He was employed at the Dry Docks for thirty seven years until his retirement. Woody enjoyed playing baseball, golfing, darts, and bowling. In his early years he played with Briggs Meteors that captured the senior softball championship. In 1969 Woody coached the Carleton Club fast ball team and took them to the Maritime Intermediate "C "&nbsp; championship, he was also a member of the Carleton Branch #2 for 55 years.</p> <p>Survived by his children four Sons; Beverley ( Blanche ), Timmy (Anne ), Douglas, Robert (Marcel ) Three Daughters; Wendy (Clarence Allain ) Sandra ( Robert Gates ) and Kim ( Robert Graham ) Brothers; Raymond, Norman ( Helen ), Murray (Fran ) Bill&nbsp; ( Mary ), Sterling and Greg. Sisters; Reva Gaunce, Lorraine (Al ), Marie Spooner. Foster Brothers; Big Jim (Linda ) and Little Jim ( Heather ) Grandchildren; Julie (Mike), Vicki ( Jamie), Jacqueline(Aaron), Mikel,&nbsp; Jennifer (Malcolm), Jeffrey, Vanessa (Tim), Krysta and Jessica( Nathan) and several Great Grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Besides his wife, Woody was predeceased by his companion, Frances Theresa Long, and his Sons: Gary Dale and Randy Leonard and Daughter: Susan Jean. Sisters; Marion and Doris. Brothers: Kenny and Douglas. Foster Brothers: Bob and Earle. In-laws; Lucy, Midge, Jenny and Jim.&nbsp;</p> <p>In honouring Woody&rsquo;s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of <strong>Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John</strong> (634-1965).
