Obituary of Scott James Simon

<p>The death of Scott James Simon of Saint John, NB, occurred on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on August 28, 1969, he was a son of the late Louis and Carol (Keating) Simon.</p> <p>Scott graduated from St. Malachy&rsquo;s High School and Bishop&rsquo;s University and received a Masters in Military History from the &nbsp;Royal Military College. He was Captain in the Canadian Grenadier Guard.</p> <p>Scott was an avid sportsman; he loved skiing, white water rafting, football and rugby.</p> <p>Survived by his brothers; Dr. Michael Simon (Anne), David (Karen), John (Kellie) and Mark (Susie) all of Saint John, and his sister; Cathy Simon (Ian Wilson), his uncles; Dr. Michael Keating (Jeanne), Rev. Brian Keating and Terry Keating, as well as seventeen nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Resting at Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, NB (634-1965) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter&rsquo;s Church, Clarendon Street, on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place in St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation.</p>
