Obituary of Joseph A. Osborne

The death of Mr. Joseph A. Osborne of 46 Exmouth Street, husband of Marion E. (Malcolm) Osborne, occurred at his residence on Thursday, July 1, 2004. He was born in Saint john, a son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Owens) Osborne. Mr. Osborne retired from Centracare in 1984 where he was a psychiatric attendant and ward supervisor, as well as a member of Local 846. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was in the Seniors Bowling League. He was predeceased by a son, Kenneth; and two brothers, Bernard and Charles. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; Daniel J. (Cindy) Osborne of Toronto, and Angus (Angela) Osborne of Red Deer, Alberta; two daughters, Cynthia (Patrick) McGuire of Shannon, N.B., and Elizabeth (Donald) Duguay of Saint John; a daughter-in law Charlene Osborne of Saint John; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, (634-1965) with visiting on Saturday from 7 to 9, and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
