Obituary of Margaret R. Ryan

RYAN-the death of Mrs. Margaret R. Ryan of 822 Coverdale Rd., Riverview, widow of Maurice Ryan, occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 1, 2004. Mrs. Ryan was born in Moncton, a daughter of the late Warren and Mary Theresa (Doherty) Hayes of Kings Co. She was a graduate of the Provincial Normal School and U.N.B. and had taught in Dorchester Corner, Campbellton, and at St. Peter's School in Saint John. She had been a member of St. Pius X C.W.L.; Saint John Right to Life Association; and the Saint John Retired Teachers Association. She knew adversity, especially at the beginning and end of her days, but she learned to face life with a smile. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, James, John, and Bernard Hayes; one sister, Mary Hayes; and two unborn children in 1959 and 1962. She is survived by her son, Peter Ryan (Suzie) of Fredericton; one sister, Miss Theresa Hayes of Riverview; seven granddaughters, Maeve, Myriam, Sarah, Catherine, Rebekah, Bernadette, and Cecilia Rose; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Evelyn Hayes, Helen Ryan, Joseph and Jean Ryan; 3 nephews; and 7 nieces. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., Saint John, with visiting on Sunday from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
