Obituary of Lawrence Walter LeRoy
<p>Larry LeRoy passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 1, 1917, he was a son of the late John L. LeRoy and Sarah "Sadie" Parlee (Doherty).</p> <p>Larry started his business in 1943 and together with his employees and customers built the family run companies that still operate today as LeRoy’s Heating Services Ltd. And Park Fuels Ltd. Larry was a lifelong supporter of his community and in earlier years was involved in both Little League Baseball and Minor Hockey. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Canadian Oil Heat Association.</p> <p>He is survived by his current wife, Doris Cullinan (Arsenault) and her family, as well as his sons, John "Jack" (Nancy), Michael (Jacqueline), Thomas (Hilary Read); daughters, Jeannette Glaspy, Marilyn LeRoy, Anne-Marie LeRoy (Lorne Hillcoat), and Christine Cipolla (Dino), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.</p> <p>He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Josephine (Whitaker); sisters, Marian Ellis, Rose Gallagher, Irma Chaisson, and Yvonne Miller; brothers, Randolph LeRoy, Kenneth LeRoy, Tilford LeRoy, Ronald Parlee, David Parlee, and son-in-law, Michael Glaspy.</p> <p>Resting at <strong>Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home</strong>, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634-1965) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cathedral Fund, the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.</p>
