Obituary of Jean Gertrude Clarkson

<p>Surrounded by her loving family, the death of Jean Clarkson occurred at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Born October 19, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Gillis) Clarkson. Jean retired from nursing in 1983, after working at the DVA Hospital for 32 years. She was a graduate of the Mount Carmel Academy of the St. Joseph&rsquo;s School of Nursing. Jean is survived by her brother Joseph R. Clarkson, as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.</p> <p>Although there was no visitation, relatives and friends attended the Mass of Christian Burial, which was celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment took place in St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery. Remembrances to the Rocmaura Foundation or the SPCA Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family. The funeral arrangements are under the care of Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634-1965).</p>
