Obituary of Alexina Horgan

<p>Alexina &quot;Mary&quot; Horgan of Saint John, wife of Donald F. Horgan, passed away peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa on Friday, February 3, 2012. Born in Pointe-Sapin, New Brunswick, on September 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Telesphore and Bibienne (Daigle) McLaughlin. Mary was a member of St. Joseph&rsquo;s Parish, and was active with the Catholic Women&rsquo;s League. She was a very special lady who will never be forgotten, and had a special love of animals, especially her cats and dogs. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by one son, Gary Horgan of Saint John, and several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Mary was predeceased by three sisters, Delina McLaughlin, Ph&eacute;b&eacute;e (Aurele) Daigle, and C&eacute;leste (Joseph) Comeau; and six brothers, Michel, Edmond, Antoine (Marthe), Nazaire, (Emma), Hiebert (Alida), and Pierrot McLaughlin.</p> <p>Visiting was held at Fitzpatrick&rsquo;s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John, on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Patrick&rsquo;s Cemetery.</p>
