Obituary of M. Margaret Mitchell
<p>MITCHELL-the death of M. Margaret Mitchell, wife of Douglas Mitchell and daughter of the late Mary (McGowan) and Frederick Harley, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. A devoted wife and mother of three children, Lynn (Daniel) Sweeney of Sandown, N.H., Judith (Mitchell) Kostoulakos of Merrimac, Mass., and Douglas F. Mitchell of Saint John. She is also survived by a sister, Bonnie Harley of Saint John; a brother, Kevin (Ann) Harley of Quispamsis; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. <br />Margaret was a graduate of St. Vincent's Girls High School and Mount Carmel Academy. She was a parishioner of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Ladies Auxillary of the Royal Canadian Legion.</p> <p><br /> The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the doctors and staff of 3D South, Regional Hospital, and Dr. Sutherland for the outstanding care he so willingly tendered to our mother together with the nurses and staff of the GEM Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital.</p> <p><br /> Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30. </p> <p>Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery followed by a reception at Fitzpatrick's. www.fitzpatrickfh.com<br /><br /></p>
