Obituary of Sister Grace A Robinson

<p>ROBINSON-the death of Sister Grace A. Robinson (Sr. Marion Grace) occurred at Ruth Ross Residence on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Sister was born in Moncton, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Loretta (Howard) Robinson. She entered the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on September 8, 1933. Sister served as a Housekeeper and cook at various convents in Canada, which included St. Vincent's Convent, Saint John, Rosary Hall, Regina, St. Stephen, N.B.,&nbsp; and Fredericton, N.B., Farrellton, P.Q., Venosta, P.Q., and Digby, N.S. Sister Grace also worked with and cared for orphans from 1936 to 1938 at St. Vincent's Convent, Saint John, and from 1942 to 1953 at ST. Patrick's Orphanage in Saskatchewan. Sister returned to Saint John in 1983 and resided at St. Vincent's Convent where she remained actively involved in the community until 1999 when she moved to Ruth Ross Residence where she celebrated her 75th year in religious life in 2008. Sister was the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by four sisters, Mrs. Helen Wilford, Mrs. Marion Keefe, Miss Barbara Robinson, and Miss Marjorie Robinson; and four brothers, William R., Herbert E., Carl W., and Harold T. Robinson.<br /><br />Resting at St. Vincent's Convent, 31 Cliff St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent's Chapel on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in the Sisters of Charity Plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery.</p> <p><br />Evening Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday evening at seven o'clock.</p>
