Obituary of M. Bertha Burden

BURDEN-the death of M. Bertha Burden of 14 King Square South, widow of Cecil Burden, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Mrs. Burden was born in Bathurst, a daughter of the late Wilburt and Marie (Duguay) Doucet, and had lived the greater part of her life in Saint John. She was a member of the Cathedral Catholic Women's League. She is survived by three daughters, Dianne (Wayne) Wills, Evelyn (Chris) Abbott, and Jane (Larry) McNulty, all of Saint John; two sisters, Arnolda Doucet of Laval, Quebec, and Alma (Norman) Gauthier of Chomedy, Quebec; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
