Obituary of Elsie V. Hayes

HAYES- the death of Elsie V. Hayes of 243 Britain St., widow of Charles Hayes, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Mrs.Hayes was born in Head of Millstream, N.B., a daughter of the late Francis and Mary Jane (Ross) Miller. She was a former member of the Catholic Women's League. She was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Hayes and Kathleen (Murray) Folkins, both of Saint John; one foster son, Ronald Burke of Quispamsis; a sister-in-law, Eva Miller of Sussex; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church on Monday morning at twelve o'clock.
