Obituary of A. Doreen OBrien

O'BRIEN-the death of Miss A. Doreen O'Brien occurred at the Turnbull Home on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Miss O'Brien was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late J. Harold and Catherine Elizabeth (Irvine) O'Brien. She had been employed with the Telegraph-Journal and Grolier Publishing. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the New Brunswick Right to Life Association, Saint John Chapter. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and William "Bill" O'Brien; a sister, Irene Mulle; and her step-mother, Catherine O'Brien. She is survived by two brothers, Frank O'Brien (Marilyn) of LaHave, N.S., and Ernest O'Brien (Hilda) of Saint John; four sisters, Margaret "Peggy" O'Brien, Joanne Barrett (Robert), and Marion MacLean (Donald), all of Saint John, and Marie Holden (William) of Ajax, Ont.; her sister-in-law, Gisele O'Brien of Caperol,Ont.;and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
