Obituary of Irene Gertrude McGraw

McGraw - The death of Irene Gertrude McGraw, of 71 Sewell St., widow of Joseph Edward McGraw, occurred on Saturday May 2, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, Irene was a daughter of the late Joseph Adele and Mary Elizabeth (Pitre) Perry. She had worked at Crosby's Molasses and then for Maritime Dairies untill her retirement. Irene loved swimming and bowling she bowled for the St. Peter's League and also at the Bowlerama, she was also a loving foster mother. She is survived by two sons, Patrick(Sharon) McGraw, of Calgary, AB, Michael (Karen) McGraw, of Saint John, one daughter, Betty McGraw, of Saint John, seven grandchildren Tanya (Joel)MacPherson of Kingston Penninsula, Perry J McGraw, of Saint John, Mistie (Ernie) Logullo, of Calgary, Ambor(Adam) Sheppard, of Calgary Alberta, Tiffany (Wes) McLeod, of Calgary, Terri-Lynn Tompkins,of Saint John, Michelle McGraw, of Saint John, two stepgrandchildren, Holly and Billy, and ten great grandchildren. Irene was predeceased by her son Arthur Maxine LeBlanc, brothers, George Perry, Cecil Perry, sisters, Agnes Knudson, Rachel Brown, Mary Ellen Graham, and Theresa Britney.Irene was the last surviving member of her family. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday May 6, 2009 at 12:05. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
