Obituary of M. Dorothy Finigan

The death of M. Dorothy "Dot" Finigan, widow of C.A.G.(Arthur) Finigan, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Thursday April 23rd, 2009, in her 102nd year. Mrs. Finigan was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Smith) Nichol. She was a lifelong member of the Liberal Association and Holy Trinity Catholic Women's League. She was predeceased by a brother, John Nichol; a sister, Hazel Mower, and a step-son, Arthur. She is survived by a son, Joseph (Maureen) of Saint John; three grandsons, A. Mark (Faye) of Saint John, Kevin J. (Julie) of Rothesay, and Sean F. (Suzanne) of Quispamsis; three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Ethan, and Gabrielle; and a nephew, Dr. Herb Mower (Fran) of Westford, Mass. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St.,with visiting on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30 am. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
