Obituary of Thomas Vincent Quinlan
QUINLAN-the death of Thomas Vincent Quinlan, formerly of 195 Westmorland Rd., occurred unexpectedly at University Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta, on April 5, 2009, following a pedestrian accident. He was born in Saint John, a beloved son of the late Thomas Gerald and Bridget Gertrude (Walsh, of Doyle's Brook, Miramichi)) Quinlan. Thomas was educated locally and worked at Crosby Molasses Ltd. and as a CPR Trucker. He later moved to Edmonton where he worked as a storage mover until his retirement in 2002. He loved sports and played hockey, his favorite team being the Edmonton Oilers. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a person of faith, having been an altar server with his brothers at St. Joachim's Church in his youth. He was a gentle man who was loved by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his brother, Martin, and his nephew, Antonio Bogliuni Jr. He will be sadly missed by his brothers, John of East Saint John, Joseph of Montreal, Frank of Hamilton, Ontario, and Gerald of East Saint John; his sisters, Mary Langguth of Saint John, and Barbara (Tony) Bogliuni of Quispamsis; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 9. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 A reception will be held at Stella Maris Church Hall, Bayside Drive, following the internment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciated donations to Church Funds or the charity of your choice.
