Obituary of William J. Dolan

DOLAN-the death of William J. "Bill" Dolan of 22 Memory Lane, Quispamsis, husband of Patricia M. (Doiron) Dolan, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Bill was born in Boston, a son of the late William J. and Kathleen (McCarthy) Dolan. He had resided in Saint John since 1945 where he was raised by his uncle and aunt, John and Lillian (Horgan) Dolan. He was a graduate of St. Malachy's Memorial High School and St. Francis Xavier University and received his Masters of Business from the University of Western Ontario. He was the president of Canada Industrial Castings and Crystal Industries. He was a former President of the Saint John Central Minor Hockey Association. He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Dolan, and a sister, Helen Dolan. Besides his wife, he is survived by six sons, David of British Columbia, Kevin of Saint John, John (Ann) of Saint John, William "Billy" (Kathy) of Halifax, Frank (Krista) of Fredericton, and Michael (Andrea) of Saint John; two daughters, Tina (Frank) McGraw of Saint John, and Judy (Lars) Hoglund of Sweden; two brothers, Charles Dolan (Sharon) of Dartmouth, and Father John J."Jack" Dolan of Fredericton; and 12 grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Monday from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's Church, Quispamsis, on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Golden Grove. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
