Obituary of Earl C. Carr

CARR-the death of Earl C. Carr of Kennebec Manor, husband of the late Eileen M. (Doiron) Carr, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, January 14, 2008. Mr. Carr was born in Geary, N.B., a son of the late Commadore and Marjorie (Murray) Carr, and had lived the greater part of his life in Saint John, where he had been employed at Atlantic Sugar Refineries for over forty years. He was an avid bowler and golfer. He was predeceased by a daughter, Gail Doucette; one brother, Woodrow Carr; and two sisters, Vera Blakney and Vivian Porter. He is survived by four daughters, Lois Haglund of Bathurst, Paulette Doyle (Martin) of Quispamsis, and Heather Daigle and Wendy Green (Greg) both of Halifax; one brother, Kenneth (Midge) Carr of Geary; 9 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday morning from 9:30 until service at 10:30. Private family interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
