Obituary of Evangeline G. Maguire

MAGUIRE-the death of Evangeline G. "Eva" Maguire occurred at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on Thursday, November 22, 2007. Mrs. Maguire was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late Alfred and Melvina May (Belding) Toner. She was predeceased by her first husband, John E. Hunter in 1993; her second husband, Herbert F. Maguire in 2005; a son, Jack Hunter; two brothers, Alfred and Bernard Hunter; six sisters, Alice Spinney, Evelyn Amero, Enid Tracy; Hattie Hunter, and Elsie Eastwood; and a grandson, Reuben Smith. She is survived by three sons, Dale Hunter (Shirley) of Mispec, and Andrew Hunter (Maire) and Austin Hunter, both of Saint John; four daughters, Phyllis Koval (John) of Baxter's Corner, Elsie Smith of Mispec, Reba Elvin of Saint John, and Bonnie McMillan (Brian) of Baxter's Corner; three sisters, Kathleen Chandler of Saint John, Beryl Rutherford of Mispec, and Thelma Greer of Hampton; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Monday morning at eleven o'clock. Interment will take place in Mispec Rural Cemetery.
