Obituary of William G. Delano

DELANO-the death of William G. "Bill" Delano of Norton, husband of Dorothy (Coyle) Delano, occurred peacefully at the Sussex Health Center of Thursday, April 5, 2007. Bill was born in Saint John, a son of the late Oliver Barker Delano and Helena (Scott) Delano. He was employed for many years with the C.N.R., followed by a number of years in automotive sales. He finished his working career as a rural mailman. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, the former Rita Forestell; and his sister, Constance McPeake. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Gerard (Ann) of Saint John; his two granddaughters, Jo-elle Nordstrom (Bruce), and Jill Delano, both of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
