Obituary of Elizabeth R. Guimond

The death of Elizabeth R. Guimond of Lower Greenwich and formerly of Saint John, widow of William Prosser Guimond, occurred at her residence on Monday, March 26, 2007. Mrs. Guimond was born in Neguac, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (LeBlanc) Comeau, and had resided in Saint John the greater part of her life. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Douglas McKinney; her son Boyd Guimond and three of his children; her daughter, Kimberly McCluskey; three brothers, Danny, Henry, and Charlie Comeau; and two sisters, Julia Byers and Rita Osborne. She is survived by four sons, Roy McKinney (Linda) of Nauwigewauk, Fred McKinney (Ann) of Passekeag, Ralph Kane (Pat) of Saint John, and Anthony Guimond (Eva) of Saint John; three daughters, Joan Hope (Dave) of Barnesville, Julia Walsh of Saint John, and Janie (Claude Smith) Guimond, with whom she resided; two brothers, Leonard Comeau of B.C., and John Comeau of Saint John; two sisters, Elise Pearman and Kathleen Northrup, both of Saint John; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday morning at twelve o'clock, followed by cremation.
