Obituary of Lena Cecilia Demmings

Demmings-the death of Lena Cecilia Demmings of Woodward Ave., Saint John, wife of the late Farnham Wycoff Demmings, occurred on Sunday February 11, 2007, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in White Head, N.S., she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Eliza (George) Munroe. Lena lived in Gaspereau Forks, N.B., from 1946 up until 1999 when she moved to Saint John. She is survived by one son Weldon Demmings (Marion) of Saskatoon, Sask., one daughter Kathleen McEachern (David) of Saint John, one sister Vera Munroe of Dartmouth, N.S., four grandchildren, Ron and Dana Demmings, Greg (Lise) MacVicar, Troy (Wendi) MacVicar, three great grandchildren Corey, Ethan, and Molly MacVicar, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., from where the service will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2007, from Fitzpatrick's Chapel at 2:00 pm. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment to take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. Reception to follow the service at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home.
