Obituary of George Heffernan

HEFFERNAN-the death of George Heffernan of 26 Orange St., husband of the late Emeralda (Woodworth) Heffernan, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 10, 2007. George was born in Saint John, a son of the late Cornelius and Elizabeth (Ketchum) Heffernan. He had worked in the Yukon and Northwest Territories as a chef and baker. He served in the Merchant Marine during the Second World War. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Thursday from 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Friday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
