Obituary of Mary T. McCann

McCANN-the death of Mary T. McCann of 14 King Square South, widow of Gorgon J. McCann, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 26, 2006. Mrs. McCann was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Hardy) Connolly, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She had resided in Somerville, Mass. until returning to Saint John in 1986. Her children and grandchildren were the focus of her life. She is survived by two sons, David (Donna) of Donalsonville, Ga., and Ronald of Saint John; one daughter, Linda Johnston (Wayne) of Saint John; seven grandchildren, Michael, Catherine, Maria, Danielle, and John Paul McCann, and Jennifer and Matthew Johnston; and several nieces and nephews. Following cremation, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Wednesday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
