Obituary of Mary Audrey Delay

DELAY-With great sadness the family of Mary Audrey Delay announces her passing on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at Edmonton. Audrey was born in Saint John on April 26, 1923, a daughter of the James Leo and Annie Loretta (Walsh) Delay. She was educated at St. Vincent's Girls High School in Saint john and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. After graduation from high school she received her Teachers' License from Teachers' College, Fredericton, then taught at St. Peter's and St. John the Baptist Schools in Saint John. An accomplished pianist, Audrey participated in many musicals sponsored by the Knights of Columbus at St. Vincent's High School. Audrey was predeceased by her brother, Rev. James L. Delay. She is survived by two brothers, William (Valerie) of Calgary, and Edward M. (Barbara) of Rothesay; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Saturday morning, December 2, 2006, at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
