Obituary of Merle J. McEachern

The death of Merle J. McEachern of 909 Highmeadow Drive, husband of Ruth (Warman) McEachern, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, October 10, 2003. Mr. McEachern was born in Miramichi, N.B., a son of the late Daniel and Mary (Matheson) McEachern. He had resided the greater part of his life in Saint John where he had been employed as a salesman until his retirement a number of years ago. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Loretta Russell. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Katherine Fitzgerald (Clark) of Saint John; one brother, David (Kathleen) of Saint John; two sisters, Marie McEachern of Saint John, and Leona Jeans (Elwood) of Toronto; two grandchildren, Peter and Angela Fitzgerald; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
