Obituary of Rita A. Morris

MORRIS-the death of Mrs. Rita A. Morris, widow of B. Frank Morris, occurred at St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 20, 2006. Mrs. Morris was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late George and Mary Sabina (Haley) Housen. She had been employed as a Nurse's Aid at St. Joseph's Hospital and with M.R.A.'s Tea Room. She was a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Women's League. She was pre-deceased by a son, Vincent; and two sisters, Patrick Fleming and Ruth Kennedy. She is survived by three daughters, Eleanor Moore (John), and Frances Clements, both of Saint John, and Patricia Caissie of Cold Lake, Alb.; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dine of Kingston, Ont.; 8 grandchildren, Beth Frawley, Stephen Moore, Colleen Comeau, Susan Moore, Andrew Moore, Nicole Clements, Catherine Clements, and Christine Caissie; 6 great-grandchildren, Erin Frawley, Matthew Frawley, Emily Moore, David Comeau, Xavier Fisk, and Liam Chabot; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Saturday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of donations to St. Pius X Building Fund or the North End Food Bank would be appreciated.
