Obituary of Paul G. May

MAY-the death of Paul G. May of Titusville, and formerly of Saint John, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 24, 2006. Mr. May was born in Saint John, a son of the late Carroll and Kathleen Anne (LeGoffe) May. Following a career in the Royal Canadian Army he returned to Saint John where he was the founder of the Cherry Brook Zoo. He was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and Carl John May; and five sisters, Mary Kenny, Patricia Collrin, Anne Hunter, and Margaret and Susan May. He is survived by one son, John Paul Kinney of Hampton; one daughter, Carrie Shogun (Ronald) of New Richmond, B.C.; two brothers, Richard (Mary) of Saint John, and David of Coldstream, N.B.; four sisters, Nancy Kirk (William) of Quispamsis, Barbara Isaac (Tom) of Saint John, Kathleen Gee (Stanley) of Golden Grove, and Jane Hoben (Merle) of Musquash; three grandchildren, Penny, Sarah, and Audrey Shogun; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Monday morning at twelve o'clock. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Members of the Legion Of Mary will gather at the funeral home on Sunday at 12:40 pm for recitation of the rosary.
