Obituary of John T. Debly

DEBLY- the death of John T. Debly of 677 Brunswick Drive, husband of Zahie (Choefatti) Debly, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital of Thursday, July 6, 2006. Mr. Debly was born in Dahr-El-Aine, Lebanon, a son of the late Thomas and Shahidi (Wansa) Debly. He had been a detective in Beirut until moving to Saint John a number of years ago. He was a devote Catholic. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Charbel (Pauline) of Halifax; two daughters, Miriam Debly (John MacDougall) of Halifax, and Theresa Debly (Scott MacLoed) of Saint John; two brothers, Nabil (Danielle) of Drummondville, Quebec, and Milad (Debbie) of Saint John; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's cemetery.
