Obituary of Gerald H. Darrah

The death of Gerald H. Darrah of Saint John, husband of Burnis (Lombard) Darrah, occurred unexpectedly in Myrtle Beach, N.C. on Sunday, April 9, 2006. Mr. Darrah was born in Saint John, a son of the late John L. and Florence G. (Stevens) Darrah. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and James Darrah; and three sisters, Eileen Merzetti, Helen Marie Darrah, and Patricia Kiervin. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Leo David Darrah of Saint John; three daughters, Lynn Marie Manley (Michael) of Moncton, Lorna Leese (Jeremy) of Windsor, Ont, and Sharon Archer of Saint John; three sisters, Joan Johnston, Mary Morris, and Catherine Jones, all of Saint John; eight grandchildren, Alison, Jason, Nathan, Colin, Charlotte, Adam, Geoffrey, and David; one aunt, Sister Audrey Darrah, S.C.I.C., of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose de Lima Church on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the James Darrah Scholarship Fund or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
