Obituary of Peter Joseph Ambrose McIntyre

Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Mr. Peter Joseph Ambrose McIntyre occurred on Tuesday March 28, 2006. Born in Saint John, NB, on June 21, 1945, he was the eldest son of the late Peter Joseph Ambrose and Mary Geraldine (Keleher) McIntyre. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery from 1963 to 1965, and was a member of the United Nations contingency in Cyprus. He graduated from Sir James Dunn Academy, St. Andrew's, NB, September 1967. A barber by trade he worked for various shops in Saint John and more recently was the Owner- Operator of PJ's Barber Shop until his retirement in 2001. Peter is survived by two sons, Peter Alexander and Joseph Marcel, and best friend and companion Flora Soriano, one brother James McIntyre of Oshawa, five sisters, Anne Marie (Jane) McIntyre of Calgary, Mary Lou (Michael) Cormier of Grand Bay-Westfield, Geraldine (Sean) Mahoney of Hammond River, Twyla (Hazen) Knox of British Columbia and Sheila (David) Harrison of Quispamsis, two grandchildren, Emily and Keegan, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and his guardian angel aunt Sister Geraldine McIntyre of Saint John. He was predeceased by an infant son. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home 100 Waterloo Street, from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at 10:30 am. Visiting hours on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
